Readers, please enjoy this guest blog post by Leeza Robertson, author of several books and decks, including The Divine Practice of Angel Numbers and the new Year of Angel Guidance.

Leeza RobertsonThere is something magical about starting your day at your altar. Preparing your morning candle, anointing it with your favorite oil, and writing your prayer for the day. This simple act is a small and intimate moment between you and the angels, one that can change the entire course of your day.

Yet, I am always surprised at how many people do not start their day this way, who forget to take a few minutes and connect with the angels so that together they can co-create a day that is for their best and highest good.

But not you, dear reader. I know you are totally down with seeding the energy of your day. Which is why I know you will very much enjoy this small morning ritual to help you connect and commune with your guardian angels.

Like most people, when I am waking up, the million and one things I need to scratch off my to-do list slap me in my sleepy face. So I have learned how to offer this list to the guardians and let them take care of the stress and mess.

Once I am armed with coffee, I sit down and open my journal. I then spend a couple of minutes writing out how I want my day to unfold. You need to go deep with the feeling aspect of this.

For example: “Guardians, today I want my day to feel spacious and flowing. I see myself moving through each task with grace and ease and feel your support and guidance at every turn. I know that when my work is done for the day I will still feel energized and capable of then going to do something just for myself. Thank you for co-creating this wonderful and productive day with me.”

Once I have that all written out, I select a white candle. I choose white and I recommend you do the same, as it goes with every prayer or petition. It is not specific like most colored candles are. On the candle you can write the words “Thank you, angels” on the side, or even just a few of the key feeling words you used in your above daily prayer (words like “ease,” “grace,” or “energized”).

Next I anoint my candle, but if you do not have oils for your candles you can skip this step and instead just hold it between your hands and take a few deep breaths as you connect with your candle.

Then all that is left to do is light your candle and say the daily prayer you have already written. Easy peasey morning Guardian angel prayer ritual!

Of course, you can modify this and make it longer. You could also just do it on Mondays to set the tone of your week. Or, like me, it could become part of your day-to-day life as you strengthen your bond with your guardian angels.
