Term: Messages

DEFINITIONs:

1.  It can be "psychopathic" to believe that all the ideas sometimes inspired when we're in the presence of a tree or a garden, an animal or bird, or the night sky or a glorious dawn, are personal messages whispered to our ears alone. But the source of inspiration knows no boundaries, and our openness to such stimulation is healthy and vastly different than pathology. And like symbols in dreams, our Higher Self may alert us to some needed idea by awakening our interest to something happening in our environment.

While not exactly the same thing, it is fascinating to let things "speak" to you in divination. Rather than following other people's interpretations, let the cards, crystals, shells, bones, stones, coins, sticks, or whatever, speak through your touch and gaze. Let yourself slid into a mild trance, and "let your fingers do the talking" as they manipulate the chosen objects.

Don't impose a left brain rigidity of rules on what is essentially a right brain work of creative response. Patterns found in a tea cup may seem to say things, but the wisdom is in yourself and not the bottom of the cup.
