Term: Radionics

DEFINITIONs:
1.  A form of healing based on frequency. Different diseases are said to have certain frequencies for their treatment. A radionics box uses dials to set up the proper frequency, although the dials are not connected in a way that would allow an electric current to use them. To link to the patient, a drop of blood, a lock of hair or even a photograph is placed on or inside the box. The treatment is claimed to work either next to the patient or at very great distances. There are questions as to the efficacy of this healing system.

2.  The theory that posits that every shape has a specific effect that can affect its environment. Talismans, magic tools, etc., which are made according to the principles of radionics, are clearly more effective.

The field known as Radionics became prominent in the 19th century. The practitioners of this field believe that every shape has a special effect on the environment. This effect may be psychological, physical, etc. A cube, a pyramid, and an octagon (for example) each have a specific energy. As a result, the subtle shape of the aura of each of these shapes is unique. Whether you are conscious of these effects or not, you may be sensitive to these energies. Different systems have been developed in order to focus these energies and then use them to cure people (or to make other uses of the special effects that are related to that particular shape).

These principles were used and are still used by Theurgic initiatic Orders (such as Aurum Solis) to make magical tools such as "elemental tools," "magick squares," "the shape of a magical Temple," etc. For example, a magic square can be simply drawn on a piece of paper or carefully engraved in order to obtain a 3D tool that can really create a powerful transmitter of energy.
