| Saturn's rule over this day always makes Saturday a nice day to honor the home and recharge its protections. One way to do this is by honoring and building a relationship with the spirits of your land. This can be done whether you live in an urban apartment, suburban house, or a rural country cottage.
Gather a couple small handfuls of an herb traditionally used for offering and/or protection, such as cedar, tobacco, or mint, and a bell or rattle. At each of the four corners of your property (in an apartment without a yard, use the four corners inside the home), rattle or ring to call the spirits' attention, and sprinkle a bit of the herb on the ground. After you have finished the fourth corner, proceed to the main altar in your home. Rattle/ring and place the remaining herbs in a bowl on the altar as an offering. So mote it be! |
