May the Fourth Be with You: Charging Objects

Color of the day:  Silver
Incense of the day:  Hyssop

If you are a Star Wars fan, you may be aware that today is a day for celebrating all things that have to do with the Force. It is an intangible that flows through all living things and can be harnessed with purpose. For this spell, we will be harnessing the lunar "force," or energies, to charge mundane objects for use in spells and rituals. We will use blessed salt water to anoint the object and then allow it to sit in the moonlight overnight. Take a small bowl of water and add a pinch of sea salt. At this point, you can either immerse the item in the water (if it will not corrode) or sprinkle the item with a small amount of the solution. When adding the water to the item, say:

As I take this item and sparge, it takes on the qualities of the moon as it begins to charge.

Allow the item to remain in the moonlight overnight to imbue it with the qualities of the moon. Add the item to a later spell or ritual to increase its effect.
