Wash Away the Pain

Color of the day:  Rose
Incense of the day:  Alder

When a relationship ends, sometimes it helps to have symbolic closure, a ritual to wash away the old and start fresh. This spell uses an herbal infusion you can add to your bath or use to wash your face, hands, etc. You can even splash it on in the shower.

Steep one tablespoon of dried herbs—any combination of peppermint, rosemary, and sage—in hot water for at least five minutes. You can steep them in a tea bag or use loose herbs and strain. As the herbs are steeping, visualize the relationship you're symbolically washing away. It doesn't have to be a relationship with a person; it could be a situation. Strain the infusion (if necessary) and allow the water to cool.

As you use the water, chant:

Remove the bonds, remove the pain.
Wash away the mark, the stain
That this connection left on me;
As I will so shall it be.
