St. Uncumber is famed through-out Europe for helping men and women rid themselves of unwanted spouses or suitors. St. Uncumber was a celibate princess who prayed her suitor would not want her. She woke the next day with a full beard, and this did the trick. Since the fourteenth century, women wanting to rid themselves of unwanted husbands have placed oats on her shrine. The oats are in hopes that a horse will carry the husband away. Place a small plate of oats on your altar. Take a picture of a woman, and draw a beard on her, saying: "St. Uncumber, set me free. With your grace, unencumber me." Visualize the unwanted person happy and well, but no longer interested in you. If possible, leave a few of the oats in his or her car or shoe.
