January can be deceiving. On the surface, all may appear to be frozen in stillness. Under this quiet surface, however, a flurry of soil- nourishing activity is occurring. Such activity assures healthy growth in spring and the eventual bounty of the harvest. Focus now on your desires for personal growth and eventual harvest. Focus on the mental or emotional attributes that need to be nourished in order to sustain your growth. Sit in front of a mirror that reflects your face. Light candles and incense that are attuned to the attri-butes you desire, and place them between you and the mirror. As the incense and candles burn, visualize this attribute being nourished inside of you. Document how these attributes are nourishing you. Be aware of any changes that you see manifesting in your life. When you feel that your soil is nourished, seek your bounty.
