In Scotland and Ireland, a divination ceremony called the Rite of the Serpent was performed in early February. Use this spell to encourage the arrival of spring and increase life energies and blessings in your own life. Light a green candle and set it on a white cloth. Meditate on the image of the serpent. Offer it honor and devotion, and ask for a sign of what is to come, saying: The Serpent shall come from the hole. The Queen shall come from the mound. I will not harm the serpent, Nor will she harm me. |
