Color of the day: Pink
Incense of the day: Chrysanthemum

This spell calls on Yemaya, mother goddess of the oceans and bringer of life-giving rains. Correspondences for Yemaya include seashells, blue and white glass beads, coral, turquoise stones, and white or blue flowers. Yemaya is envisioned as a beautiful black mermaid. If you leave her a traditional offering of sliced melon and make a sincere request for rain, she will answer you within forty-eight hours. Take a plate of melon slices outside in the evening and arrange a few of Yemaya's correspondences around them. Make the set-up pretty, and take a moment to visualize this ancient goddess. Place your hands on either side of the plate, then repeat the charm three times.

Yemaya, I hold your offering within my hands.
Send rain gently to the Earth, bringing life to the land.

If the melon is gone in the morning, know that your request will soon be answered.
