LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Privacy Spell

Color of the day:  Pink
Incense of the day:  Thyme

Today is the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision protecting a woman's right to choose in privacy. If you have an issue you wish to hide from prying eyes, write out that issue on a piece of paper. Fold the paper with the writing on the inside, chanting, "Until it's ready to unfold, keep my secret well untold." Tuck the paper into a small bag or box and keep on your altar until it's ready. Do not speak of either the spell or your issue. When you're ready for others to know your secret, open the bag or box and unfold the paper, chanting, "What was once concealed can now be revealed." Burn the paper to ashes, chanting, "The work is done and the magic has begun. As I will it, so mote it be!" Sweep up the ashes and bury the ashes with thanksgiving.
