When pursuing personal improvement, it helps to have a tangible manifestation of growth. Use this for such things as sticking to a meditation program, exercising, or practicing a new magical skill. For this spell, you'll need a large flowerpot full of potting soil and some small bulbs or seeds. Freesia, crocus, onion, lettuce, mint, and moss rose work well. Also choose a simple design or symbol representing your goal. Trace your symbol into the potting soil. Sow seeds or plant bulbs following the outline of the design. Concentrate on your goal as represented by the symbol. Then cover the seeds or bulbs, chanting:
Down you go,
Deep below.
As you grow,
So I grow.
Water carefully, and keep the soil barely damp until the plants sprout. When you need a boost toward your goal, visit your plants and repeat the chant.
