Color of the day: Red Incense of the day: Cedar Prepare a centerpiece for your altar or table. Use a clear glass bowl or dish and place a small mirror in the bottom, round, if possible. Add water, and place three white floating candles in the dish. An alternative is to use a glass plate, with or without a mirror, and arrange three white votive candles or tea lights on it. Surround your entire centerpiece with white flowers and stones associated with the Moon, such as quartz crystal and moonstone. Gaze into the mirror and meditate on the reflected candlelight. Remember that the Moon does not shed light of her own, but reflects the light of the Sun. This means we can see the life-giving light of our world, even in times of darkness. Repeat this chant: As the Moon controls the tides, So its rhythm rules our lives. Through cycles changing, wax and wane, In different phases, yet the same. |
