Rune Cookies

Color of the day:  White
Incense of the day:  Mint

September ushers in the harvest and the autumn season. The grain is reaped and the vegetables are gathered. Now is a good time to work magic related to home and hearth, abundance and prosperity. This spell uses runes from the Elder Futhark. You will need a batch of sugar cookies and some red frosting. Frost each cookie with a rune, such as:
Fehu: wealth, fruition, plenty. ( f)
Uruz: health and strength. ( u)
Gebo: gifts and generosity. ( g)
Wunjo: joy and comfort. ( w)
Jera: a good harvest, hopes rewarded. ( j)
Sowilo: success, goals met, honor. ( s)
Berkano: fertility and personal
growth. ( b)
Ingwaz: family, hearth and home, domestic bliss. ( ())
Serve the cookies in a baking pan held high, so that each person chooses without being able to see them. The rune on your cookie represents how the bounty of this year's harvest time will manifest for you. Eating the cookie internalizes the rune's energy and blessing.
