A Purifying Moon Bath

Color of the day:  Gray
Incense of the day:  Hyssop

Nearly all Witches observe the Full Moon in one way or another. Some choose to perform elaborate ceremonies or work with their coven. Others meditate or ritualize solitarily, while others simply reflect on the energy throughout the day, perhaps leaving offerings under the moonlight. Whatever your practice, it's a great idea to incorporate a cleansing Full Moon bath into your "moonly" regime. Lemons represent the light of the Moon, just as oranges represent the Sun. For the cleansing bath, get a full, fresh, organic lemon, slice it in half, and squeeze all the juice into the bath water. Let the rinds float in the tub, and add a good handful of sea salt. Sea salt is used to connect to the ocean, whose tides are dictated by the lunar cycle and thus the energy of the Great Goddess. If you can, turn off all the lights and ignite a white tea light candle in the room. If you have any seashells, throw 'em in the tub as well. When you get into the bath, completely submerge and cleanse yourself. Visualize your energy body becoming cleansed and purified, focusing on the healing and cleansing waters of life. Whether you're male, female, or somewhere in between, the nurturing and purifying energy of the Goddess can help invigorate the soul and align you to your destined path.
