Now is the time to give away a meaningful chunk of your stuff - at least one meaningful item - to Good Will, your sister, best friend, the Earth, or another appropriate receptacle. Think you can part with it?
Well, you can; and for your spiritual growth, you must!
Seated in your favorite spot, look around you and think about the things you love the most. Is there a book, an heirloom, a cherished knick-knack that holds a dear place in your heart? Is there something you made (perhaps during a ritual) or had made that brings back special memories? Today, practice the art of non-attachment and make a match between your material good and a beloved person or cause. Let go with celebration and a sense of the freedom the release brings.
