Sending Blessings into the World

Color of the day:  Turquoise
Incense of the day:  Carnation

To be sure, we live in challenging times. Most news broadcasts are filled with reports of fires, floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes, plus events involving people with weapons. What's a Pagan to do in such a world? Live mindfully.
I live in the city. Fire station #3 is two blocks from my home. At least once a day I hear a fire engine roaring up my street. I also hear police helicopters and sirens around the city. No matter where you live, you probably hear sirens, too. They're telling us that someone needs help. They're signals that someone needs a blessing.
Whenever you hear a siren, stop what you are doing. Speak this blessing to the firefighters, police officers, or ambulance drivers and their passengers:

"Blessings to you. Blessings to where you're going."

Send this energy out and see it touching the people who need it. Do this every day.
