Taming the Minotaur

Color of the day:  Purple
Incense of the day:  Rose

As the sun moves into Taurus, try this guided visualization. In the myth, the hero joins the group to be sacrificed to the Minotaur and sails to the magical island. He meets the princess. She gives him a ball of thread to guide him back out of the labyrinth after he has gone to the center and slain the monster.
What's the worst thing that could happen to you? An act of god? A personal disaster? In your meditation, personalize it. See an earthquake, for example, as Poseidon. See your boss as Loki. But don't be like Theseus and attack with a sword.
Make your weapon (your Ariadne's thread) metaphorical - get CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training so you're prepared in case of natural disaster. Adopt wisdom, reasonableness, and a friendly attitude on the job. Bring these metaphorical weapons to your daily life.
In your meditation, visualize your weapon as a practical symbol and step into your labyrinth. You can already hear the Minotaur roaring.
When you arrive in the center, don't attack. Be cautious. Be polite. Try to reason with the monster. If that's not possible (there's no reasoning with destructive winds), ask for advice or guidance.
If it's good avice, follow it. Be guided by your inner wisdom. Give thanks that you've met the monster and tamed it.
