Sometimes we all get silenced. We lose our voice, don't speak out when a wrong has happened, get overpowered by someone speaking far too loudly, or just can't find the words to say how we feel. Today let Bellona, an ancient Roman war goddess, help you to fight the war against silence, because sometimes silence is complicity. Wielding a sword and wearing a helmet, Bellona is armed with a spear and torch. Her festival was held every year on June 3. Let Bellona help you speak out against wrongdoing.

Chant:

"With Bellona's sword I cut the silence, I speak out.
Against violence, evil, and all wrongdoing, hear me as I shout.
With Bellona's spear I stand guard, speaking strong and sure,
Her torch brings fiery clarity, my words are true and pure.
I wear Bellona's helmet to protect my deepest intent,
Let Bellona's blessing be upon me, and let silence relent."
