Blessing with Earth: The Earth Jar

Bless yourself with the earth element. Walk outside with your bare feet on the earth itself. Feel the soil and the stone, that which is the body of our earthly mother herself.
Make a point of walking barefooted in as many places as you can: yard, park, mountain, streamside, ocean beach, and vacant lot. From each place you walk, scoop up a small bit of soil or sand, and add this to a large jar - a one-quart canning jar works well. The contents of this jar now holds a connection between you and each of the places you have walked.
When you need a blessing or consecration, stir the jar's contents well, then take a pinch and either sprinkle over your head or use it to trace a symbol on yourself, your altar, tools, etc. Feel the blessings of earth through this bond of contagious magick.
