Sacrifice and Freedom

Color of the day:  Gray
Incense of the day:  Lily

On Memorial Day, we in the United States honor those who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
What are you willing to sacrifice for your freedom?
Find a quiet, private place out of doors, near natural water (a stream, pond, or lake). Spend some time gathering pebbles and thinking about sacrifice. What will you give up?
What will freedom be like once you have sacrificed?
Sit by the water with the pebbles in your lap. Notice how they weigh you down.
Pick up a pebble and say, "I sacrifice X," naming the first thing you are willing to give up. Drop the pebble in the water. Enjoy the beautiful sound it makes.
Do this with each pebble until your lap is empty.
Thank the body of water for accepting your sacrifice. When you stand up, notice the feeling of freedom.
