Wells are magical places because they serve as portals to the earth and they are dark and mysterious. Various forms of well magic are very popular in Appalachia. Wells are used for divination and for making wishes. For some reason, however, the belief exists that well magic is strongest if performed in May.
This spell will help you make a wish. Go to a well and pick up a stone that appeals to you. Breathe your intent into it, or whisper your wish to it. Carry the stone around the well three times, then throw it into the well. If your wish doesn't manifest in one month, try it again, preferably at a new moon.
