It's said that the sense of smell is our most powerful sensory ally. In the fall, the excitement of the new school year comes with scents of school bus–yellow pencils, new crayons, dry paper, and rubbery pink pearl erasers.
Recapture the energy and new beginnings of the school season with your own school supplies. Head to the local office supply store and purchase a composition book, pencils, crayons, and an eraser. Once home, play with your new school supplies, embracing them with all of your senses. Seize the chance to make a fresh start, perhaps writing, sketching, or embarking on a course of study. Enter the starting date into your composition book, anchoring it with a sigil of your own creation. Make a plan and set some goals; each time you sit down to work, chant:

"Motivation, inspiration,
perspiration, exaltation!"
