How Will Your Garden Grow

Color of the day:  Gray
Incense of the day:  Sandalwood

Deepest, darkest winter seems like a strange time for gardening, but the cold days of winter, when the ground is hard and plants are hibernating, are a good time to get out your gardening and plant books and plan your spring garden.
First, visualize your garden-tobe. Is it filled with veggies? Herbs? Flowers? A combination? Will you be gardening at home or in a public space? If you decide to make any changes, make notes. Do you need to start composting? Buy seeds or baby plants? Stakes and string? Consider the magical aspects of a garden, such as its shape, what plants are friendly with each other, flowers that attract bees and butterflies, and magical herbs you'll need during the year. Be sure to find statues of the Green Man and at least one garden goddess-start with Xochiquetzel, Ceres, or Demeter-to place in your garden.
