The North Wind Blows

Color of the day:  Red
Incense of the day:  Cedar

Winter brings icy air, chilly nights, and tales of the bonechilling power of the north wind. In some parts of the country, the winter wind is called the hawk, and you definitely don't want to be caught outside when the hawk is flying.

North is the direction of wisdom. In the face of adversity, we can hold on to wisdom, which sustains and grounds us. We can wrap ourselves in love and protection and face the winds of life, secure in the knowledge that we are always loved, guided, and protected.

Bundle yourself up, go outside, and invoke the power of the north wind. If you live in the Southern Hemisphere, you can use a fan to simulate a cold wind blowing. Say:

"Though the winds of change blow, I am protected wherever I go. In adversity and strife, I am in charge of my life."
