Dark Chocolate Cayenne Truffles

Spice up the passion in your relationship with this special chocolate treat. Add in the magical intent with each ingredient for a truly special candy. If you like your food only a little spicy, add half the cayenne. And if you don't like the kick at all, leave it out. You will need:

* 8 ounces dark chocolate, roughly chopped
* 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
* 1/4 cup powdered sugar
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 1 teaspoon ground cayenne
* 1/8 cup dark chocolate cocoa powder
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

In a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat the dark chocolate and cream on a medium to low heat, whisking until the chocolate is melted and the two are well mixed. Remove from heat and add the sugar, vanilla, and cayenne, whisking again until combined. Transfer to a small bowl and refrigerate for two hours to allow it to set up and make it cool enough to handle.

In a small bowl, combine the dark chocolate cocoa powder and cinnamon. When the ganache is done cooling, roll the mixture into balls of about a tablespoon each, then roll the small balls in the cocoa/cinnamon mixture. Place on a baking sheet lined with wax paper. Store in the fridge until set. Keep refrigerated in a small, covered container.
