Warm Communication

Today is World Autism Awareness Day. People with autism and Asperger's Syndrome often have difficulty with nonverbal communication: body language, facial expressions, etc. These steps create a magical "wand of communication."

For this spell, you will need a mercury thermometer, a piece of royal blue silk fabric, and a gray ribbon.

Place the materials on your altar. Fill yourself with images of warm, open communication. Gesture. Make faces. Laugh. Send the energy of that communication into your materials.

Mercury is the planet of communication; its color is gray. Royal blue is the color of the fifth chakra, which rules communication. Ribbon represents being gagged, to focus the spell on the nonverbal.

Warm the thermometer in your hands. Wrap it in the silk and tie it with the ribbon. Continue to send warm, open energy into it.

Leave this wand of communica-tion on your altar. Whenever you want to open communication with someone, warm the wand in your hands, causing the mercury in the thermometer to rise.
