Home Renewal

Color of the day:  Amber
Incense of the day:  Heliotrope

It's Easter Sunday, a day of resurrection and renewal. It's also a waning moon, a time to cause things to diminish or disappear. So let's do a simple spring-cleaning spell focused on driving out the unwanted and bringing renewal.

Make a strong tea of lavender and lemon or lemon verbena. In each room of your home, repeat the following steps:

Go around the room counterclockwise, picking up any clutter while saying:

Unwanted be gone!
Unwanted be gone!

Feel free to change the word unwanted to something more specific about your life.

Put all the clutter away. Then dip a cleaning cloth into the tea. Go around the room clockwise, wiping down each surface and saying:

A new day dawns! A new day dawns!

Rinse the cleaning cloth between rooms so that it's fresh each time.

End by wiping down the front door of your home, inside and out.
