Children know magic is real, but an occasional reminder never hurts. Purchase a jar of glitter and hide it from your child. When a little magic is called for-prior to a trip to the dentist, perhaps, or before a big test, recital, or sporting event, or when the child is feeling sad or lonely-secretly sprinkle a little of the "fairy dust" on the bedroom window sill, the pillow case, or over the night stand. Since fairies know when children need them, it wouldn't be surprising if they left special pouches of their magic dust for children leaving home for the first time or for those preparing for a hospital stay. |
