POSTED UNDER Love, Moon

Connect to Your Matron Goddess

Color of the day:  Maroon
Incense of the day:  Geranium

Whether we've worked with our matron goddess(es) before or not, now, while the solar energies of the year are waning (and the moon is waning as well), is a good time to connect and deepen our bond. We can do devotional rituals, using words of praise and expressions of love.

Whether your matron goddess is an actual matron ("mother"), a maiden, a crone, or some other archetype, you'll want to use a candle in a color you feel would be pleasing to her. Inscribe the candle with words or symbols describing her awesomeness, and meditate on those energies for a while. Think about your special connection with her, and what kinds of energy patterns you would like help with.

When you're ready, light the candle, saying:

"I light this candle to represent the
mystery in me that is most like you.
Please, (name of matron goddess),
help me grow more like you every day."

Allow the candle to burn down completely, knowing that as it does so, you are drinking in the light required to understand the depths of her mysteries. Be blessed.
