Lemuria Spell for Ancestors and Spirits

Color of the day:  Indigo
Incense of the day:  Sandalwood

Lemuria is an ancient Roman festival that was held on May 9, 11, and 13. This is the time when a ceremony like the Day of the Dead occurred. The following spell is designed to keep evil ghost spirits of all stripes at bay while also feeding your ancestors.

Begin by taking off your shoes. There shouldn't be any knots in your clothing either. Walking barefoot wards off evil.

Gather and wash nine black beans in spring water.

Put a cleansed and dry black bean in your mouth. Focus on the work at hand. When ready, spit it over your shoulder. Do not look back.
Incant:

"This I cast;
With these beans, I redeem
me and mine!"

Repeat this action eight more times (for a total of nine times), each time with a fresh bean.
