LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Inspiration Spell

Color of the day:  Black
Incense of the day:  Pine

When I'm feeling a bit gray, I cast this spell to fill myself with inspiration and a sense of purpose. In a fire-safe dish, form a square with salt in the center. Then take four yellow candles and dress them with lemon essential oil. Affix them, one each, to the corners of the square. Light the candles and say:

"This box I'm in is not for me,
This spell I cast to set me free.
What evades shall come to light;
I break the bounds with all my might."

Now, with your index finger, break the four lines of salt that form the square and say:

"Inspiration from on high,
The gift of daemon from the sky.
Muses, spirits, be here now,
A fertile mind for you to plough!"

Let the candles burn out and then safely dispose of the remnants.
