Spiral Meditation

Color of the day:  Crimson
Incense of the day:  Clove

The spiral is an ancient symbol and has had many meanings throughout history across the world. The most popular interpretation is evolution, growth, and the revealing of hidden knowledge. Meditating on a spiral shape is a good practice to open doors inside your subconscious to help you better understand your purpose in this life and uncover important spiritual lessons.

On a dark-colored surface or black paper, pour some table salt in the shape of a spiral, starting at the center and working outward. Table salt often comes in a box with a pouring feature, making it perfect for this.

Relax and gaze into the spiral as you take deep breaths and let go of intrusive thoughts. Allow your vision to blur as you sink into a meditative state, paying attention to what sounds, thoughts, and images flitter across your mind. When you’re done meditating, write down all that you heard or saw. If the information you receive doesn’t make sense right now, it will in time. Scatter the salt outdoors if possible and ask for clarity.
