Cleansing a Pre-owned Object

Color of the day:  Yellow
Incense of the day:  Marigold

I love thrift stores, antique shops, flea markets, etc. My partner and I have a collection of chalices, many books, and even a brass cauldron and statuettes of the Venus de Milo and Isis that have been gathered over the years from local shops. The only drawback is that you cannot be certain of the history of pre-owned items, so it’s a good idea to cleanse them in order to neutralize any energetic residue they may contain.

First, physically clean the object in whichever way is proper, then proceed with the cleansing. Two quick and effective options for this are to pass the object through the smoke of frankincense and myrrh incense, or touch the object with both hands and visualize all the energy in the object changing from cloudy to clear, and say:

A safe addition to my domain,
cleared and cleansed you will be.
No harmful power shall you contain,
filled only with correct, healthy energy.
