LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Lay Down Your Arms

Color of the day:  Purple
Incense of the day:  Apricot

Today is Veterans Day, and for many Americans this is when we honor those who have served in the armed forces. Elsewhere in the world, today marks Armistice Day and Remembrance Day, during which we celebrate the end of World War I.

In honor of this, today is an ideal day to bring an end to a personal battle you may be fighting. Are you harboring a grudge or dwelling on a lost fight? War is sometimes necessary and just, but many of us at times find ourselves engaged in conflicts that are purely destructive.

To relieve yourself of a personal conflict that is holding you back, write your grievance on a piece of rice paper and hold a funeral for it off your property. Dig a grave and lay your grudge to rest. Eulogize your loss and lay flowers, then cover the grave with dirt. Turn around to leave and do not look back!
