Consecrating Water

Color of the day:  Pink
Incense of the day:  Rose

February is a month when many of us see water in one form or another. Depending on where you live, that could be rain, snow, fog, or some combination of them all. Water is necessary for life. It washes the land clean and nurtures the plants. Plus, of course, it is one of the four elements that many Witches integrate into their magical work.

Today, collect some water to use in your rites, blessing and consecrating it for your own magic. If you can, gather water from a source outside. If Mother Nature isn’t cooperating, tap water will do. It all comes from the same source. Put the water in a container you can keep on your altar or with your magical tools, and say:

I bless and consecrate this
water for magical use.
The essence of life, the tears of
the sky, gift of the Goddess.
So mote it be!
