LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Questions and Answers

Color of the day:  Yellow
Incense of the day:  Juniper

Sometimes it’s handy to be able to get a quick answer to a pressing question. If you don’t have the time (or the inclination) to do a major tarot reading, here are a few fast ways to get simple answers—usually along the lines of “yes,” “no,” or “sorry, no answer.”

Make sure your question is clear in your head; for instance, “Should I take this trip?” Then pull one tarot card, or one card from an oracle deck that lends itself to that kind of use. If the answer isn’t obvious (the Chariot would be “yes” and the Tower would be “no”), listen to your gut. You can also pull one rune stone (Raidho would be “yes” and Isa would be “no”). Or you can use a pendulum, which is best for simple answers. If you want, say:

Divination, tell me true,
what it is that I should do.
