Car Naming

Color of the day:  Gold
Incense of the day:  Marigold

If you own a car, does it have a name? October 2 is Name Your Car Day. While it might seem silly to give your car a name, many folks who own cars tend to spend an awful lot of time in them. Most magical folks I know name their cars and talk to them as well. (I certainly do!) If you can recognize that your vehicle has an energy of its own, you’ll find you can head off major problems early and get more “life” out of it. You don’t have to do a formal naming ceremony, but taking a day in both the spring and the fall to wash the outside, clean the inside, remove any debris, and reset/ refresh any altars or talismanic items helps show that you respect and honor your car. (Every car I’ve ever owned has had at least one stuffed animal, several rocks/shells, a feather, and some plant matter.)
