Stay Out, Unwanted Spirits!

Color of the day:  Brown
Incense of the day:  Honeysuckle

As the veil between the worlds begins to thin in early October, we like to do a little extra protection work to keep our house free of unwanted spirit visitors. For this spell you will need a couple of pinches of salt and a bowl of water. Say a cleansing blessing over the salt and water and then mix together.

Now walk the perimeter of your dwelling, sprinkling the salted water as you go. As you walk, state your intentions. We use these words:

Only those souls that are wanted and
invited are welcome in this space!
I cast out what is not wanted and
shield this space from those that
would cause mischief or harm.

Pay special attention to windows and doors, and don’t be afraid to throw a little water to get to things above your reach. When done outside, repeat indoors.
