Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn

Color of the day:  Yellow
Incense of the day:  Marjoram

Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn, whose feast day is celebrated today, is the protector of a small Lithuanian village that was nearly destroyed, save for her help. Personal identity is precious, our very foundation. When you feel that yours is in danger, call on this gentle but awesomely powerful mother figure with a simple request adopted from an ancient prayer in her honor:

Tota pulchra es, tu
honorificentia populi nostri.
Mater prudentissima,
Mater clementissima.
Ora pro nobis.
(You are all beautiful, you
give honor to our people.
Mother most intelligent,
Mother most merciful.
Pray for us.)
