Samhain is when the veil is the thinnest between our world and the spirit realm. It is a particularly suitable time to get answers to questions. To do that you will want to use a pendulum, which is typically an oblong object attached to a chain that is held by the practitioner. Many of today's pendulums are crystals that are suspended by a chain. If you do not have a pendulum, you can tie a ring to the end of a chain to accomplish the same task. The pendulum board can be a simple piece of paper where you write that the north-south axis is labeled "yes" and the east-west axis is labeled "no."

Once you are ready to begin, focus on the question you need an answer to or a loved one you are trying to connect with on this day. Hold the pendulum above the board and say, "So I seek, so I will find." Ask your question and let the pendulum guide you to the answer.
