Holiday Unity Candles

Color of the day:  Topaz
Incense of the day:  Bay laurel

Christmas this year is especially poignant, as it occurs on the first night of Hanukkah, which begins at sundown. For this spell you'll need five chime candles with holders. (The colors are up to you.) Wait for the sun to set and find a place in your home to set your candles that resonates with you, such as an altar or mantelpiece.

As you set your candles down, say:
On this dark and holy night, a
night shared by so many, I share
the five energies of love, peace,
unity, belonging, and hope.
I seek these qualities within myself
and in this world. Blessed be.

With each candle you light, say the names of the five energies outlined above, and stop to think about how you can better manifest those powers in your life and the lives of those around you. As the candles burn, reflect on the qualities that unite us as people. Extinguish the candles when you're done.
