Collect three narrow ribbons or some embroidery floss in the following colors (about one foot of each):
Knot the three cords together at one end, leaving a little tail so you can tape the length down for easier braiding. As you braid the cords together, say: Knot the loose ends together so your braid holds, then tie it around your front door knob. When you open the door to the new year, the braid will be there to remind you of good things to come. |
