Summer Solstice Blessing Water

Color of the day:  Crimson
Incense of the day:  Jasmine

Tomorrow is the summer solstice, a time of the strengthening sun, flowers in full bloom, and the roaring heat of the season making itself known. As we prepare our rituals for Midsummer, now is the perfect time to make some Summer Solstice Blessing Water. This is a simple spell. All you need is a jar with a lid, some fresh water, and of course the sun!

Place your jar of water in a sunny spot (if possible) at noontime and let it bask in the glorious sunlight. Envision it imbued with strength, gratitude, and abundance. You can even draw a sun symbol on the jar's lid. Let the jar sit out until the sun has set and then place it on your altar. Use the water however you see fit. I like to add it to spray bottles along with a few drops of summertime essential oils (such as various citrus, lavender, tea tree, or rosemary), add it to cleansing baths, or even put a few drops in my tea. Keep the water until Winter Solstice, at which time you can dispose of it gently to the land in your area.
