Bead Divination

Color of the day:  Maroon
Incense of the day:  Ginger

If you're a crafter, you may have a collection of multicolored seed beads (very small beads). If not, you can usually find an inexpensive bag of them at the dollar store. All you will need for this divination is the bag of beads and a tray or plate with a rim around the edge.

Reach your hand into the bag of beads while asking what theme or vibe this month will have for you. Scoop up some beads and put them on the plate or tray. Now separate them by color. Count how many beads there are of each color for some insight into what the month might bring. Many beads in one color signify a stronger influence of its corresponding energy, while very few of a color mean there is little of that influence this month.

  • Red: Passion, courage, transformation
  • Orange: Success, victory, goals reached
  • Yellow: Joy, friendship, comfort
  • Green: Growth, beginnings, new experiences
  • Blue: Healing, peace, calmness
  • Purple: Spirituality, magic, the unseen
  • Black: Protection, seriousness, banishing
  • White: Realization, manifestation, expansion
  • Brown: Earthiness, the home, comfort

Don't forget to write down or photograph the results to revisit later in the month.
