LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Poison Apple Seed Spell

Color of the day:  Rose
Incense of the day:  Orchid

Apple seeds contain a miniscule amount of a substance that releases cyanide when it comes into contact with human digestive enzymes. Don't worry, it is so little that it cannot harm you! However, this means that inside an otherwise juicy, yummy apple, there is a little spot of poison and bitterness. Sometimes life can be the same way. This spell is designed to help eliminate small problems that are standing in the way of a larger positive outcome.

Cut an apple in half to reveal the seeds. Scoop them out and gather them together in the palm of your hand. These hard, bitter seeds represent the thing that is bothering you or standing in your way. Without them, the apple is sweet and perfect, just as you wish your situation to be. Hold the seeds in your palm and whisper the name or a description of the problem over the seeds. Throw them away. Eat the rest of the apple and enjoy it!
