Color of the day: Gray Incense of the day: Ivy Earth Hour is an hour observed (from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. local time) on the last Saturday of March, when folks are encouraged to turn off their lights and nonessential appliances in recognition of climate change and protecting the environment. This annual event is an opportunity to reconnect with the world around you by dimming the electric hum. In addition, you could consider adding a daily or weekly practice where you disconnect for a short period of time to practice meditation or divination. Select a space or room where you can turn off the lights easily and safely. Prepare a scrying surface (such as a black mirror or a cauldron filled with water) and a place for you to sit comfortably in front of it. Turn off the lights, settle yourself in front of the surface, and take three deep, slow breaths. Soften your gaze and say: Darkened night and inner sight, grant me vision in softened light. Allow your mind to relax and simply be. Make note of what thoughts, visions, or ideas come to you. Record the date and the results. |
