In the latter half of the show, spiritual counselor and occultist Samantha Corfield, PhD, discussed her work exploring the afterlife and helping people overcome their fear of death. There is an actual medical condition called thanatophobia, "where people are so afraid of dying that they aren't living. Their whole being is taken up with this absolute chilling fear of death," she reported. But Corfield offered a message of empowerment: By taking control of your afterlife, "you’re taking control of this life as well," urging listeners to confront death with agency rather than fear.
