Louis T. Culling (author of The Complete Magick Curriculum of the Secret Order G∴B∴G∴) liked words and liked to get his listeners and readers to take note of his sometimes unusual terminology. I think I more than once caught him making up words to fit what he wanted to say. I believe "example" would have been a better choice than "exemplar" because he was not pointing to something worthy of being copied; but by using it he was saying, "Pay attention to this example."
