It is difficult to determine with any precision the dates on our Gregorian calendar that correspond to dates on the ancient Greek calendar- or calendars, because each Greek city-state had their own version. However, our best reckoning tells us September 24 or 25 corresponds to the 19th day of the Greek month of Boedromion, when the cry went out in Athens: |
